Overall excellent!
This was a fun build. My favorite aspect actually was getting all the punamatics working. Yes its a mess, but I feel that adds a bit of charm. I had no issue getting the tubing fitted properly.
One of my cons however is that I am not a fan of the placement for the controls. Its a bit tight to get back there and manipulate them how I want.

John Deer Skidder
I purchased this for my husband and was not disappointed. It was an intricate challenging build for him. He is a diesel mechanic who specialises in John Deer machinery and he loved that there was so much detail and useful working parts. It was a great build. Highly recommend it.

Messy pneumatics let the build down at the end
Overall the build experience is really fun up until the last few steps where you build and connect the pneumatic hoses, the instructions are not very clear and building to the instructions ends up with a build under-stress as the hoses are pushing too much back on too few connectors holding the pieces in place and having built every modern pneumatic set and almost all modern technic sets i found this pneumatic assembly the most awkward and the placement for the controls is equally bad.
I used the app pdf instructions so being able to zoom didnt help, thinking about it now though perhaps the 3d instructions would help more? But if we're expected to use the printed instructions they remain unclear
Having said that if you get past that part the finished build is really good looking and has lots of functions, the 'fake' engine we normally see in smaller sets is a disappointment though

Build can be difficult (which can be a good thing)
As others have said, building this set can be difficult, especially when connecting the pneumatic tubes. This can be difficult for some, but Technic fans who want a challenge are most likely to be pleased. Aside from the complex pneumatics, the build is quite straightforward and I’ve found it to be very enjoyable overall. The finished set has interesting mechanisms, clever details and it looks phenomenal when compared to a real-life John Deere 948L-II, especially considering its scale and the fact that it is a Technic set (i.e. looks are secondary to functionality). I positively recommend it. Thank you LEGO for releasing a set of a machine that most people are arguably unfamiliar with , it gives this set additional educational value.

Average play but overpriced
Not much of a challenge as for the putting together the bricks, but the difference in diameter of the T-connector and the tubing makes it really hard to securely connect all those pneumatic tubes and it could hurt a bit if you got big hands.
Those tubes will be bent to some extreme angles so make sure you hook them up as tightly as you could.
The 3D building guide from the app really helped to figure out where the tubes should be connected to.
There is limited play when you finish the build so it's kinda overpriced imo.

I absolutely love the technic construction equipment. This did not disappoint! Well engineered, fairly simple to assemble, and functions well! Really cool piece that looks great in the display case!

This is an awesome set! My grandson and I work on it, together, when he comes to visit. We haven't finished the first bag, yet.

Awesome
This was so much fun putting together. Everything works and is fun to play with. The tube routing was a little difficult but once you figure it out it works great.
