Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liebherr 13000 is pretty darn good While it doesn’t really look like the original with the luffing jib, it has lots of function. I added some steel counterweights and am able to lift a 1kg weight at full extension after adjusting the counterweights and elastics. I would like to unlock the end-points on all 3 lifting motore for personal adjustments and also add about 6 to 8 gantry sections to make this crane a real behemoth.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Title does not fit the build I wish I had not preordered this one. I assumed it would be the usual Lego quality, it was not. It did not live up to the 2 yr wait for release. I was most shocked by the price for what was actually received. I doubt LIEBHERR will be very impressed after seeing the reviews for this kit. If you just have to have it go ahead. If your on the fence, jump and run to something else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It looks great, but... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] .. it does not look like the original Liebherr at all. .. it it way too expensive. I got this gifted and would never spend so much money on only 2.5k pieces. I feel guilty that my friend spend this much money. Inflation and all, this is waaaay over the top.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaves much to be desired I wanted this set to be great - I really did. The other Technic cranes to this point have been fantastic, so I had high hopes for this massive set. The trouble started almost as soon as I opened the first manual. Multiple steps are not in logical order, pieces to add are often not highlighted, there are very, very few "actual size" references, and the model orientation turns without notification. As some others have noted, the intricacy of the gearing normally seen in a Technic model is not present here. The piece count issue isn't as big of a deal when thinking about all the individual parts combined into the new truss assembly pieces. The aesthetics of this model don't meet the normal realistic approach of Technic models. Understanding that scale comes into play with a model like this, there are still ways to provide a more polished model. Lifting capacity is no where close to what would be expected when looking at the real crane on which this model is based. The inability to get additional pieces from this model (more truss sections, additional counterweights) is very disappointing. Overall, for the price, this was a flat out miss.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from how do you give zero stars? To Lego and Liebherr: The set misses most of the essence of Technic having a series of motors is great, but there are barely any of the connection and gearing intricacies that make good Technic sets great. No cleverness in the functions. It looks awful from any angle other than the judiciously chosen marketing shot ones. It's just unfinished. The whole point of panels is to cover things up; whether this is desirable or not is another question, but if a set uses them, then cover up battery packs etc. This besides the pointless and ugly unnecessary colors used (blue pins etc). Outrageously expensive. Few parts, low weight (apart from the counterweights), the chassis and tracks look very different from the real version. The counterweights don't have any studs or antistuds, arguably making them not Lego. both companies should be ashamed. To 3, 4 and 5 star reviewers: can I have some of what you're smking?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Triumph of Engineering This Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000 proves to be an astounding set that left me utterly impressed, particularly by its sheer size – a true behemoth! The main boom/jib boasts an impressive extension, reaching substantial distances, and effortlessly retracting to its towering height. The build experience was nothing short of remarkable; I dedicated a couple of afternoons and evenings during a week off from work to assemble this marvel and handful of other sets I purchased on the 1st, also my birthday. The incorporation of new techniques and new components, alongside the integration of all the electronics, as well as the intricate string-threading to enable the amazing functionality, collectively render this Lego set the most operationally versatile one I've ever had the pleasure of constructing and playing with. The accompanying app has become an almost daily routine now, allowing me to engage in playful interactions, orchestrating intricate movements of the crane across the room, or daringly selecting random items or sets to try hoist with precision. I actually can't wait to deconstruct it and relish the joy of rebuilding it all over again; I haven't had a feeling like that in many many years, even with all the recent amazing set's I've purchased this past year. Without a doubt, this stands as my favorite set of the year, hands down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liebherr Crane LR13000 This was an awesome build. Took be 41 days working on it about an hour a day. Definitely a challenge for the most advanced builder. A previous review I read said 18+ means over 18 years of Lego building experience. I agree. The six motors and 2 motor control centers are well engineered with safety features to keep everything stable. Bluetooth connection to phone for control works well. My only request is that the instructions for Operation of the finished build are lacking. There are many features on the control panel that are difficult to learn/understand. Need some help here.
