Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ancient Egypt As someone who is obsessed with Ancient Egypt, I was so excited when I saw this was coming out, especially because it released a day before my birthday...I couldn't wait to order it. The build was satisfying, sometimes frustrating but I have enjoyed it immensely. I would love it if Lego would come out with a Sphinx and/or sarcophagus next. What I DO NOT enjoy is people in the reviews complaining about it being half a Pyramid??? Did you not look at the pictures before you purchased? I studied EVERY picture several times. C'mon people!! This Pyramid is awesome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yes it is half of a Pyramid The Great Half of a Pyramid of Giza is a stunning set. I enjoyed the building process and all the details. What shocked me the most are the reviewers who were surprised that this set was not a whole pyramid. Did they not review the images on the product detail page? Did they not watch the countless number of YouTube videos from creators calling out this feature., or lack thereof? If you purchased this set and only then discovered that there is half of a pyramid, missing that's on you, not Lego. I knew I was getting half of a pyramid and quite frankly, I am okay with that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set! I bought this set after watching several reviews on YouTube. I knew I was only getting half a pyramid, but honestly, what sold me on this set was all of the detail around it. I probably would not have purchased it for a full pyramid without the setting, and I think the price point is decent (versus the additional cost if Lego went with the full pyramid and the surrounding detail). The only thing I disagree with is the idea of buying a second set to get the full pyramid. It just doesn't make sense because the duplicated features don't make sense. That being said, if Lego came out with a complimentary model that completed this pyramid and added more to the surrounding area, I would absolutely buy it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very cool layers to this build Upon completion the pyramid was too deep for the shelves on which the other Architecture pieces are displayed. So, I redesigned the riverbank to pull about 2" off without redoing the whole thing or adding more bricks. The mortuary temple and boats became a stand-alone piece. The friends I shared the build progress with thought the layers of 'in progress', 'complete' and 'what's inside' were a very cool way to add depth to the build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice! This set looks very nice! I got two so i could complete the other half and with the spare pieces from not adding the river area to the back, i was able to make a miniature version to have at work. I will say the size of this build’s base is very large. I think having half will be good enough for most people. I really enjoyed this build! I am not a huge fan of the unfinished pyramid underneath the finished one. I am thinking of doing something custom on the inside of the pyramid like a mummy party. The pyramid underneath is also easily detachable without impacting the build. However, while making the outer pyramid, i do recommend building it on top if the inner one for support. The force required to apply bricks is a tad too much to only apply it to the outer casing without potentially damaging the bricks or staircase pieces.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's Got the EES Jealous Arrived while I was working, so I had to wait until this morning to start building it, then tear myself away to go shopping. Tweeted some images and now The Egypt Exploration Society want one for their offices and teaching kids. Looks great when finished and love the ingenuity of how they rendered the internal chambers and passages. Well worth waiting for it to be released, after the announcement, earlier this year, and highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from To Die For! This set is amazing. All the detail, the build, the elements, the design, the price. Wow. So much fun to build. So many ways to display it. It is magical and mysteriuous. Some great things - the tunnels, the river Nile, the small pyramids, the village. Awesome. I would say add some rushes/reeds along the river Nile and where are the Hippos? Haha.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Architectural Masterpiece This set is beautifully designed, well thought out and it was pure joy to assemble. Everything just "clicked" together with challenges here and there. Perfection.
