Good play experience overall
The castle itself is well planned, symmetric and has good medieval effects. The overall build experience was good but the pay aspect is excellent.
The medieval castle set lacks sufficient minifigs compared to previous castle sets. The blacksmith minifig seems like a misfit for this set and would have been better suited for a pirates set. The dragon and chicken pieces while they are creative to build and not visually appealing and specific dragon/bird (such as in the Vikings sets) would have been better.
Overall I like the castle itself and there is plenty room to play and modify further. A must buy for any castle fans.

Good castle with realistic features
This castle is very fun, and it is also fairly easy to build. I got this and finished it in a day or two; a good build time for a large-ish lego set. What I really enjoy about this, is that it has multiple fun play features for kids, like a working drawbridge, a medieval sort of prison/dungeon break, turntable water wheel, a mechanism to hammer a sword in the blacksmith shop (those two were actually connected), and a way to put all of them together and create a castle wall. I have not constructed the other versions of the castle, so I can’t say anything about those, but I might give some more reviews about them soon. Overall, this set was pretty fun and cool to have.

Best set in years
Lego castle was always my favorite theme, so I am very pleased with this new set. I might go so far as to say this is one of the best Lego sets I've ever built. It is beautifully designed and really hit me right in the nostalgia. The subtle details with the dungeon, blacksmith, and throne-room are wonderful. The inclusion of the brickbuilt animals (dragon, chickens, rooster, and eagle) as well as the 3 minifigures mean that there are tons of variations for play. I haven't built the other builds (tower and market) so I can't comment on them, but just having the option of creating a different model is great. I hope everyone who buys this set enjoys it as much as I have.

What LEGO does best
When I was a kid, I received the first [yellow] LEGO castle and it's probably the only toy I remember from that time because it was so great. Now with a daughter of my own, thought she would like this, especially with her interest in medieval themes and fantasy.
So got this and she LOVES it! The build and the main model. She also built the IDEAS Blacksmith, but like this more. They both go nicely together if you build up the Castle a bit, that is, elevate it.
Only nitpick is the stability while lifting/moving it, mainly because of the fold-out feature. Recommend moving it with a baseplate.
The footprint is just inside 32x32 which is very convenient for modding/moccing.

Fantastic Set
Probably my favourite Lego set to date, bought for my 5 year old (he’s been Lego mad for over a year now and it’s been a joy watching his competence and concentration grow). This set took him about 3 days on and off to build, absorbed for a few hours at a time over half term - as a parent, this is a big win! Wonderful little details like the armour room, skeleton in the dungeon, jewel room etc. He played with this daily for several weeks, then eventually let me break it up so he could build the other 2 sets. Love the value for money of the creator 3 in 1s, we have a lot of them. Considering the play value and build time this is great value for money, well worth the splurge.

7+ Potential Additions
If you are into this theme then this is a Medieval piece with a lot of potential; a base canvas of sort!
Utilizing pieces I got of the local flea market with the little extras I had, several additions were implemented to the Original design to give it a more Medieval depth & look; However, the two additions I like the most are (1) the Spirit Maker & (2) the Study room.

Magical set
Bought this set because the 3 in 1 is epic and it's a sweet castle. Got it in the mail and it looked really cool. Decided to take it up to my Dad since he is into medieval themes to take his mind off of things after heart surgery while recovering. This was his first Lego kit and the joy that I got to see after he completed it was a pretty proud moment for us both. He stole my castle but this kit will always be special because now we have a cool hobby in common because of it. After close inspection of the set the details are amazing. He was excited to show off the moving drawbridge, working anvil, waterwheel, dragon, jail, well, mouse, and so many other details. This set is a 6/5 star set. The thought and details really inspire the imagination. Thank you Lego!

This is ace
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took around 5 hours to build the main castle but there are also two other styles you can create with this set! It’s so much fun it has a draw bridge that works and a little market area as well as a jail. The founders of this one have truly thought of everything it has the cutest little mouse and some birds too! Hours of fun in battle with this one. I’d have loved to see more characters as part of this set to truly get the battle experience when playing. It looks complex but was easy to piece together and offers hours of fun. Would love to see some add on sets with this that offer cannons and more characters. I will say the towers can be difficult to place and remove character because they’re slightly small but still lots of fun! Also comes with a green dragon to help save the day!
