Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun little set. I primarily bought this for the octopus to climb up my motorised lighthouse. The ‘Kracken’ looks awesome scaling the tower lol. The submarine is a great little build too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality & creative Our grandson enjoys ocean animals, has the other ocean creator set, & this set was even better. More pieces & more detail in the build. Both submarines were also excellent in detail. Recommend this set for its quality & creativity in each of the items that can be built. Well done Lego design team!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beware of Octopus! Be careful - this octopus is large enough to get a tentacle or four up and over the side of a pirate ship....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Set! I love this set!!, the skeleton with it's flippers pulled me in. I really enjoyed building the sub with the methods it uses in the build and the octopus also is really awesome. super fun to pose the tentacles in different ways or twist and tuck them under for a cool pose and pattern below. if I could change one thing that would be the beak of the octopus, but totally not a big deal and that is the fun of LEGO! ps. one review mentioned tentacles coming off, but I feel this is a very sturdy build and have had no issues. Also another couple mentioned left over elements or not using all of them. but that's how 3in1s go. the 1st book/build uses the majority and in general the 2nd and 3rd are other builds/ideas that you can also make. or of course inspiration to get creative :)

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design for squid The arms on the squid keep falling off and the circular platform piece that holds the head of the octopus doesn't fit very well to cover around the tentacles so when the arms fall off and you try to put them back you have to disassemble half of the thing to reattach them. It's frustrating for a kid but more so for a parent when you have to rebuild it. Never had this problem with leggos before as we have several sets but this one needs to be redesigned for what it costs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice set. Confusing wad of leftovers The set was fun to build. It could be clearer that you build "options". I built the small sub, lobster and reef. There were tons of left over pieces.
