Exceeded my expectations
I’m Asian and I approve this product. In fact, I’m Vietnamese and I can’t care less if the set says Lunar New Year or has Chinese symbols or the wrong shade of red. It’s a great looking set that looks even better in person. I currently have it next to my Lunar New Year display at home. I highly doubt LEGO maliciously put out this set to offend its Chinese customers. Everyone already knows it’s “Chinese” whether it’s called Lunar New Year or Lunisolar or Chunjie or Chinese New Year. Lighten up and go play instead of complaining.

Beautiful, decorative set
This set is stunning and looks beautiful on display. I thoroughly enjoyed building it and Lego customer service representative Lexi was extremely helpful in getting my missing bag sent to me promptly (which I’ve never had happen before). 5 extra stars for the customer support. I look forward to the Chinese New Year sets every year as they are often inventive and include some brilliant printed pieces (no stickers!). Keep them coming please Lego! 😊

The best decorative Lunar New Year set
I was most impressed by the design. It has flowers, koi, gold ingots, red pockets and most important the two greetings in Chinese words. All the elements in Lunar New Year for good wish and fortune are here, on top of that these elements are not just two dimensional which makes the set display in the living room so lively and festive. In the sense of display I definitely think this set is the best for decoration among all the Lunar New Year sets.
By the way I approve the name using Lunar New Year, even I'm a Chinese. It's much better as this New Year is also celebrated in other non-Chinese communities. Don't be misled by all negative comments about wrong naming blah blah blah ... this set is absolutely gorgeous which you should not miss.

Love the set!!!
Beautiful display! It’s fun to build. Love this unique set. The designers are genius and great artists. I would like to buy more LEGO peony to decorate my house.

A LEGO set fit for a museum display
This is a gorgeous addition to the LEGO new year celebration line. I would highly recommend this set to individuals, who value the fine arts element of LEGO sets, for it is beautifully unique. I would also like to add that as a Chinese person, I fail to comprehend the excessive backlash that LEGO has received for its name selection. Objectively speaking, there is nothing offensive about the name. I am pleased that, thus far, the LEGO Group is not caving to unjustified pressure.

Excellent
I surprised my elderly mother with this set, and we built it together for Chinese New Year. She was delighted by the Chinese characters and enjoyed having an excuse to teach them to me. I was going to ask her if the set was named correctly, but we were too busy having fun building it.

Very Cute and decorative
As I am not Chinese, not even Asian, I found the comments very educating, but I was also saddened. Lego is supposed to be fun! So please go and educate yourself on cultural differences etc. but why get offended....life is too short. Just enjoy this unique and beautiful set.
It is very detailed and took me about four hours (leisurely while watching TV) to complete. The peony is amazing.

Beautiful!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Legos, it’s a family night must for us. We love all things Lego, but these were definitely special! We got to break up into teams and make a challenge out of it. As always, instructions were clear and super helpful, all the pieces were there and we had zero issues! We now have these on display. Would definitely recommend!!
