Rated 5 out of 5 by from Possibly Ninjago's Best Dragon AND Mech I bought this set for my dragon obsessed daughter and helped her build it. The Dragon has good articulation and brilliant shaping. It is sturdier and more stable than most large character builds, however the light yellow curved slope tiles on the spine are easy to knock off and repeated play can cause the spine section on the hips to separate. I am incredibly biased due to the obvious source of inspiration for the mech but this is hands down my favourite small-to-mid sized mech from any theme to date. The dragon's design, parts usage and powering up functionality make it feel like the ultimate EVO dragon, showing that system living up to its potential.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Legopro [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was very happy to get this set of ninjago dragons and add them to the lego world as long as he loves them so much, he was happy to spend his day building his new favourite, "the Elemental dragon vs the espresso mech” from lego", I was with him helping him, he had fun building the lego as he followed the instruction book, Which made the way to install the Lego easy. The legos were arranged in plastic packages.I was so proud that we built such a big package in just a few hours.I recommend this set,for the price it's worth a try,it's really cool 100%

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best set this wave This is probably one of my favorite Lego dragons that have ever been released. I like how the flyer can be separated into pieces that can be used to upgrade the dragon. I personally like having the flyer be its own thing since the dragon looks good on its own. The Empress Mech is really nice with some good articulation, what else can I say, its a villain build. Solid 9/10 set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shockingly Good I’ve recently begun collecting a lot of LEGO Dragons. For a while, my favorite had been Lloyd’s Legendary Dragon for its design and personality. However, I am pleased to say that I have a new favorite. The Elemental Dragon in this set is, bar-none, the best dragon I’ve ever built. The articulation is fantastic for a large creature like this, which is really impressive considering how intricate the build is. It makes for good play and a stellar display item. The ability to modify its appearance with the micro-jet is also a great touch, really amplifies the dragon’s presence in your collection. If I had to pick a downside for the build, I do prefer how Lloyd’s Legendary Dragon’s head wad made, but it isn’t as bad here as say the Water Dragon. The price is also a bit egregious, but for a dragon nut it’s worth it. The mech is also pretty good. Makes for a great side build with nice articulation, but it wasn’t my priority. Overall, I recommend the set. Stellar dragon, cool mech, meh price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Review I enjoyed building this set and had a good time posing and displaying this on my wall. Only problem was that the Sora minifigure was missing but it was easy to contact the Lego company and get the figure. Overall an enjoyable experience during and after.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Action packed set - great to build! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our boys were so excited as they are massive Ninjago fans, that the build went by in a swish. Still not saying that this was too easy, very nice and challenging enough for our 4 and 7 year olds. They were still able to put it together by the two of them. The dragon holds together quite nicely in play, maybe the structure could be a bit more sturdy as it does tend to brake down every now and then in more intense battles. However, the boys have been able to fix it back up fairly easily. Also a nice feature that the Dragon Jiro has the separate Ninja Flyer! Our daughter (age 9) also likes to play with this one and thinks that the dragon pup is very cute – she also really likes the colours. What is also great is that this set has two different main charcters and 6 minifigures, so playing together all sorts of cool clashes ,comes naturally. Maybe one thing to note, is that there is a ball shaped part on the dragon, which definitely is a chocking hazard for smaller kids as well as pets. Cats might start playing with it - like ours do with Legos, and it might get swallowed up by accident. So that is good to note before and pick out if it is a concern. It won’t have too much an effect on the appearance. Anyways, all in all a great set and loads of cool details and options for playing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make STRONGER pieces My son and I love the design and all the details, but the fact that the wings of the jet are removable will eventually cause the grey piece that holds them to break. They tend to be brittle. It seems that Lego did not consider that in the design, it will have to be modified. Lego should try to create a stronger piece so it wont break so easily
