Please Do More Transformers
Lego Transformers has been a want in the Transformers Community for a long time and this product very much delivers that want; however, there needs to at least be a Megatron to go with him. The build was a little long but that's to be expected for an Expert build. The two biggest flaws are that he has no knees and his feet don't stay together in one piece. Having knees on such a big build would be difficult and have it be stable so that's understandable and the problem with the feet can be fixed the parts given in the set which I fixed easily. This is probably my favorite Lego set ever and I really would like a Megatron to go with him.

Ultimate Optimus!
This was a set I had been waiting for almost as much as the proper sized Delorean! Certainly was not disappointed in either.
I have an old Optimus toy from when I was younger, so being able to build Prime out of Lego and be able to transform like it should, without removing items is a testament to the designers! A really clever build and some great build techniques to keep the strength required to allow him to stand and transform without the risk of parts falling off. Loving the printed detailing on parts especially the eyes.
A build I have already recommended to friends. Hopefully this may pave the way for a few other Transformers too!

Looks Great Until It Crumbles
This is a set that upon seeing on shelves immediately made its way onto my wishlist. My favorite movie of all time is the 1986 Transformers Movie. This set is incredibly accurate to the source material in both the vehicle and robot forms. The biggest issue with this set is the process that it takes to go between these modes. The structural integrity of this set is among some of the worst that I have witnessed in any Lego sets. While transforming, you must go into it with the expectation that parts will 100% fall apart and must be scavenged for on the floor. If only four parts fall off during transformation, consider yourself lucky.

Good but not great
In many ways, this toy is a better version of the original G1 hasbro toy in that it looks closer to the cartoon version, and I have to give Lego a lot of credit for making a transformable version of this. However,
main weakpoint is the rotatable midsection. It is not sturdy enough to survive multiple transformations, and one must also take care when transporting as the legs have fallen off a couple of times if holding Prime above the waist. I did not have the same problem with the Voltron set which felt much more sturdy and could survive taking the lions apart from robot mode. Perharps superglue is the answer, but of course this is a last option.

If you enjoy your lego to fall apart...
I have purchased 100s of LEGO Sets, and this is by far the absolute worst set I have purchased. It needs to be engineered better to stay together and not fall apart when moving. Every joint falls apart easily, and other parts just fall off. Even when transforming pieces just randomly will pop off. I expected it to be better especially since the Voltron build was so incredible, and well thought out. It just doesn't compare. I can appreciate the idea, but the execution was garbage. It's not even in the same league. How did this even pass through quality control? I would have paid more to have a better product. This is such a let down.

Poor design, doesn't transform without breaking
This really disappoints. It promises so much, but while it looks cracking built (and in Prime mode), it's awful to try and transform. The central, critical neck pivot is flimsy and breaks - there's not enough structure around it to easily twist is, and so the entire head can come partially off, meaning a tricky rebuild to strengthen it back on. It's just there's only really two pieces either side keeping it stable. Prime's head comes off when you have to twist it round to convert. Given how expensive it is, it's really not worth it. Really disappointing, and i think a lot went into style not strength testing whether the idea actually works.

Second Childhood Dream
This is a super-cool collaboration, concept & execution. The science behind making this thing work as a functional transformer is still mind boggling but the end result is a SOLID model. The legs in particular are really solid and well worth the two days it took this novice to build it. Glad to have this as part of my collection.
My only gripe is I can’t seem to get the jet pack on and the piece tends to separate at the waist when I try to transform him so I’ve actually yet to get him in vehicle mode as it just gets too frustrating & I’d rather leave well enough alone. I’m not sure if I did something wrong during build or just natural for a Lego. Despite that I totally love it and plan on getting an acrylic case to display it.

Excellent engineering!
Personally, I think this it one of the best Lego ideas ever! It's a robot that turns into a truck and it's made of Lego bricks! :)
The design is excellent and it matches the original toy design very accurately, down to how the parts move when transforming.
Though like with many Lego sets, there are some piece that fall off if you play with it. In this case, it's the pieces above the foot.
I also like the accessories: sure, the "energon cube" is just some purple bricks, but it's a nice addition. I'm a little surprised by the rocket backpack because even the instruction manual says it was only used once in the TV series.
I hope Lego makes more Transformers sets!
