Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stickers, stickers every where... I enjoy the challenge and patience stickers bring and this set brings it. Overall a pretty standard Technic build with a few new pieces and an assembly on the front end I’ve never done before. If having this for a display only, highly recommend lowering the suspension. Video online will show you how post build or if you want to while building, start at step 10. This is the rear end and you’ll put the shock in the 2nd to end spot and not the 3rd. For the front end, you’ll skip steps 96 and 97(100 and 101 opposite side) and on step 98 follow the video instructions or view my pic of where to put the pin assembly. Would also recommend swapping out any blue pins on the body for black. This was a fun build and ready to be added to the collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Underrated project Had a great time with this. Most low star reviews state it is “too difficult” or “hard to follow”. I assure you, building this car is challenging, but doable and rewarding. Don’t gift this to your 7 year old, but most will eventually get it built if you just pay attention to the details. This Ferrari 488 Gte is extremely detailed (if you could manage to replace the fake motor with a small electric one, Stewart Little could drive this around). Not to mention it looks awesome when built. I chose not to put all the stickers on, as I think some are tacky looking. I’m a huge car guy, and who doesn’t love legos. I plan to have it on my shelf for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun build, great for Lego and Car lovers [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a challenging and fun build. I'm not sure how long it took as I worked on it an hour or so over a few days. Some parrs around the engine are a little hard to get in. I also thought one set of instructions was out of order but it did work. This is absolutely an adult set. I appreciate the attention to details. The steering wheel turns the wheels, the doors open, the pistons move. As a sports car lover, this was so fun to work on. Just goes to show you that you are never too old for Legos!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I went crazy building this, but then I wanted two! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I almost forgot how much fun Lego builds were. Building the Ferrari 488 GTE “AF Corse #51” was a roller coaster of emotions. Excited to see what the end product would look like, happy to have a challenging puzzle in front of me, and frustrated when I would lose track of a piece. Watching my progress almost made sad to finish it, but I was anxious to get another version of this. It brought back a feeling of watching my work when I was a junior Lego builder, but with the advanced experience of working with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High End Fabulous Ferrari Enjoyable build, straight forward, lots of stickers and I got 99% of them right, one wrinkled on me & I couldn't resolve the kink so that was annoying. I built the 488 exactly as per the Lego instructions and the front end did come out looking too high. Was relieved when I checked the reviews and others have noted this, so will rebuild to lower the front end & improve the looks. I did feel both doors could have been designed to have a smoother look. But don't let that stop you buying it if you are a technic fan and/or a Ferrari fan its a great looking model and well worth adding to your Lego collection. More please Lego

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun 9 1/2 Hours [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My sisters and I spent a fun day building this Ferrari together, 9 1/2 hours total. The quality of the bricks is excellent, with the Technic bricks. Very sturdy. There were a few confusing parts in the instructions, particularly the "add to the car" parts (when you build a part and then need to attach it to the car) which is the only reason I gave 4 stars. The detail is amazing, it looks like the real car. It's also huge, definitely a showpiece. The details like moving engine parts are just incredible.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised me big time! For the money it costs figured it be good but wasn't expecting it to be so detailed and such a complex build. Out of all the dozens sets I have, hands up the most difficult build I've completed but 100% rewarding. Comparing the set to the real life version it's such a beautiful creation. Love the engine, the suspension and the cockpit, yes it could be more detailed but if it was more detailed it be priced way higher. In other words, it's basically at a similar level as the Bugatti and Lamborghini technic sets just slightly less detailed. So price wise, complexity, build quality and features it's a perfect set. It's a set that isn't just suitable for kids or teens to play with but also perfect for adult car fans like me to display. Fits beautifully beside the Ducati set that got before this one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Added Powered Up Motors Great Build as plenty of room to add your own motors I added the Powered Up motors but you could add the Power Functions motors if you have some. If you do add the Powered Up large motors and put them on ports A & B you can use the Control+ app as well as the Powered Up app to control the car.
