McLaren-stein
End of the day I enjoyed the build and excited to have an F1 licensed Technic build.
As a huge F1 fan there are a few things that are a bit odd due to timing of the release. It’s not quite the 2021 Mclaren and not quite the 22 either. Probably would have been more accurate if released next year so Lego knew what the new car looked like but obviously there was high demand now with the new car generation being released.
Build itself was great but features are light. Would rather build a transmission than see the cylinders but sure that’s down to packaging in the car.
Would recommend if you can get past the accuracy. Excited for more official formula 1 products to come

Perfect for F1 & Lego Enthusiasts
As soon as I saw this advertised on the McLaren & Lego socials I knew I had to buy it. The set is very robust with only a few external loose parts and the push-rod suspension has been designed very well. Would of liked to see operational DRS/gearbox features, better tyre/wheel design and interchangeable driver numbers instead of the exposed engine cylinders, but the steering is a nice touch. I had a great time building it and the sheer size of it makes it incredible value for money. The 2021/2022 combined design doesn't bother me as it looks great on display. I would definitely recommend this product to F1/Lego fans. Looking forward to more F1 licensed sets in the future.

Great look and nice build.
Very sleek and a nice build. One nice thing at least I had only 12 small leftover pieces which is nice for once. Usually have anywhere from 25-40 depending upon the item. Pieces fit fine except putting on I would call them the side View mirrors. Very tough for my fingers to get in place. Moves smooth once set up. The one thing I really detested about it though were the stickers. So many and you had to keep jumping between the two sheets of stickers.Took my time building only spending an hour a day. Took about 2 weeks. You will enjoy building it. And hope in the future that Lego will find a way to cut down on the stickers for a set like this.

So fun and Interesting
I had no expectations going into this, but it was so enjoyable to build and I was so impressed with how it came together and looks amazing, I know there’s been some complaints about how it looks and that it’s a mash up between the 2021 and 2022 car, but it still looks amazing and you would defo find this as an amazing display piece, the only tiny problem was the price per piece on this set, but if your an F1 fan like me, it’s not an issue but to the general person who cares about this, then it’s something to consider, but overall an amazing product

So much fun
I really loved building this f1 car together with my boyfriend. It was my first Lego Technic set but it was easy enough to understand, although I did make a mistake early on since the instructions involve a lot of rotating the car and pieces so it’s easy to overlook one instruction. All pieces where there but as mentioned in another comment, some blue shades in the back of the car were not matching. Putting the stickers on was annoying, however, they use stickers on the actual car as well so although it was a job that requires patience it is a realistic part of the building process. Love my car a lot where it is now.

Great if you a F1 fan
Really enjoyed building this one and the end result looks great. Would be good to have the same set up in other teams as well.
Love the tyres and detail especially the halo which makes it look like the real deal.
The only thing I would suggest would be the stickers kind of make it look cheap. I think whilst I enjoyed sticking it on, I would think having the design printed on the brick would make it more authentic.
Would recommend to anyone who enjoys F1, every details has been thought of and love the promotion videos as well.

She's a beaut!
Absolutely had to get my hands on this as soon as I heard, as an avid F1 and McLaren fan.
Built over two days (probably 10/11 hours of consistent build time), and I've never built a Technic kit before. Haven't even used Lego since I was a kid!
Had so much fun building this, and she is just stunning. Loved getting to work the intricate suspension the most.
Stickers though - these were my nemesis! Would defo prefer these to come already on the parts.. and I have small fingers..
All in all, I love it and want to get more technic kits now!

Best LEGO set ever in my opinion
I was so beyond excited when I saw McLaren F1 and LEGO teaming up to make this set, I stayed up release night just to assure I could get my hands on it and it was the best 8-10 hours I could have spent money on! Don’t hesitate if you’re a fan of F1, it was so fun and cool to get a deeper look into the technology of formula 1 albeit in LEGO form. I’m looking forward to hopefully more sets in conjunction with F1 in the future!
