Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun builds [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love pikachu so this is getting to be really fun to build me and my partner are building it we are currently half way he had to help me with the leaves part that goes around the gears as they keep coming apart the instructions are very easy to follow it’s a very fun build! My neice loves building the pikachu parts the orange tool is for breaking the bricks up if you put them on wrong these are a very fun model to put together and it can be stored on a shelf for display or played with it’s good for kids over 12 because the Lego pieces are small so can be put in their mouth

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Kids loved it - good instructions. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to gift this to my two sons to build together. Has a higher age range than I initially expected but soon became apparent why when opening the box. Lots of small pieces but well sorted to aid the builder/s. Comes with handy tool to separate pieces if a mistake is made. Lots of plastic packaging which is the reason for 4 stars rather than 5 and would love to see an improvement in future. Instructions were very clear and whilst my children haven’t quite finished building yet, they worked well as a team to get this far. Recommend overall, little steep in price but for a Lego set over all good value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So cool! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves Pokémon and was so excited to see this. Does take some concentration and hard work to build but once it is built it’s fabulous. Looks great on his bedroom shelf and he is so proud of building it. You can scan it to see it move which is an added bonus. It’s sturdy which is key, nothing worse than when it falls apart as soon as built. Has a good study base that you build upon. Good study and great quality pieces which fit together easy and come apart easily when you do it incorrectly. Overall very impressed. Would make a good Christmas present!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for any Pikachu fan [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The box felt quite weighty and looked very full on opening - although it became clear that this was partially due to the amount of plastic packing used. Overall the instructions were good with just a few steps that were not quite so clear. Some of the same parts were I inconsistent in their moulding along with some colour variation. However, the printing was good quality with great colour, edge to edge and no stickers (unlike another popular building brand). Overall mechanism works well despite the odd stiff spot. General experience was enjoyable with the end character instantly recognisable and very cute. Any Pikachu fan would be pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must for any Pokemon fan! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son loves Pokemon and this is an incredible building set! I was real impressed with the organization of the pieces - there are LOTS or parts but they are all grouped together in packages which makes assembly frustration free and fun. My 11 year old is able to work on it independently since the instructions are so well written with many illustrations. Overall, we both love this set - the pieces go together nicely, the instructions and packaging of the pieces are excellent and the build along with the cool motion is mesmerizing!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from fun concept, difficult build i was gifted this a few months ago. ive read that this is a difficult build for kids, but im 20 and struggled myself. the gear mechanism broke halfway through my build the first time by bursting through the base, so i had to start over, and upon further building, i realized i am also missing a piece completely. its a yellow 1x1 brick with a plus shaped hole, to use for rod placement. i can't even finish my build until i get a new one, i am pretty frustrated. its fun to build when i am doing it, but not fun when things are breaking constantly. a tip for those who struggle with the grass breaking: make sure the leaf corners are tucked in so theyre not pushing against the walls, thats what broke mine constantly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very cute, but some parts are difficult [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, this was a really cute build, with lots of great details. There are parts, however, that are fairly difficult to accomplish, even though my daughter frequently builds complicated sets on her own. Even for me, it was difficult to get some pieces to fit as they should, mostly in the mechanism that allows movement. The track with the cute leaves falls apart very easily and was very frustraing. That being said, once we got through that, the build was fun and cute and actually took several days to build, which was nice.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tough Build for Younger Kids [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If I remember correctly, this toy is suggested for ages 12+, yet my daughters (8 / 10) attempted this with gusto. You see, they are experts in building sets from another popular brick-building brand and even construct set outside of the suggested age range. However, faced with difficultly snapping pieces together and even more difficulty taking pieces apart, they quickly gave up and sought the input from Dad. As a frequent toy brick builder myself, I can confidently say that this was a difficult toy to put together. Pieces did not fit together easily and the mechanics of the rotational pieces are very rough. Upon trying to rotate the mechanism arm, Pikachu's front legs ultimately fall off as there seems to be pressure applied at the shoulder.
